Leather Jacket with Mink Collar and Python Pockets
Leather, a wide mink collar and python leather detailing. Three materials, one line.
The piece
Three materials, each doing one thing well. Leather for the body, cropped and finished with a ribbed hem. A wide mink collar for softness at the face. Python leather at the pockets for a detail that only shows up close.
The materials
- Mink
- Light, supple and quietly lustrous. Each skin is matched by hand for colour and direction before it is let out and joined, so the fur falls as one.
- Python leather
- An exotic leather with a scale pattern no two skins share. Cut so the scales follow the shape of the pocket.
- Leather
- Fine, supple leather selected for hand and finish. Edges are turned and stitched so the structure holds through years of wear.
How it is made
01 · The conversation. Every piece begins with its wearer. Size, fit and finish are agreed before anything is cut.
02 · The selection. Skins and leathers are chosen and matched by hand for colour, density and direction.
03 · Cut and construction. The pattern is laid out on the block. Each panel is cut, joined and shaped by hand at the atelier.
04 · Lining and final press. The piece is lined, finished and pressed. Then inspected, one last time, before it leaves the house.
